Georgina first picked up a pair of knitting needles at the age 10, and has been creating ever since. Over the years she dabbled in everything from fabric arts to stained glass, but when she picked up her paint brush she never looked back.
Although she has no formal training in the arts, since retirement she has been able to study with a variety of local artists in a variety of mediums, and eventually discovered watercolour to be the best medium for her to express her love of nature. Her love of rocks, trees and water naturescapes viewed from her two favourite places, Ontario and Nova Scotia, with the occasional focus on a single bloom are her inspiration.
“I love how it flows, I love the fluidity of the colours. Sometimes , you control the watercolour, and sometimes it controls you, and I love that….most of the time.”
