Pamela Petten
I began painting my travels to Mexico, Mongolia, Bahamas, Normandy and around Quebec, trying to embed the wonder and quirkiness of what I had experienced. Working mainly in acrylic on canvas, I enjoy capturing the personalities of family members and pets in portraits and scenes of day-to-day activities. I enjoy looking at the ordinary from new and unique perspectives, and transferring what I see to my canvas.
Although I have been primarily self-taught, Artists Diane Labelle O’Neill (Quebec) and Mike Snow (Dordogne, France) have provided coaching over the past years. My works have been exhibited at “L’exposition d’art 2018” and displayed in the café Les Moulins LaFayette, both in Deux-Montagne, QC, and will be in the Atomic Rooster café in Ottawa during the 2024 holiday season.
