SOUTH GRENVILLE GUILD OF FINE ART

        Established in 1991 by a small group of amateur artists, the South Grenville Guild of Fine Art currently has 25

        members who pursue their interests in painting (oils, watercolour, acrylics, pastels, collage and mixed media);

        photography, and calligraphy. The Guild endeavours to foster the appreciation and development of visual art in the

        community. The Guild holds a well-received annual show each spring, in addition to smaller shows throughout the

        year at the Brockville Public Library & Brockville Arts Centre. A permanent display may be seen at the Prescott

        Public Library.  High school students are invited to display their art at Guild shows. The public libraries of

        Prescott, Augusta, Edwardsburgh, and Cardinal, as well as the South Grenville District High School have all been

        the beneficiaries of art books donated by the Guild.

        The Guild meets monthly to exchange views, critique one another’s work, and participate in a variety of

        artistic activities.
