Nancy J. Roberts

Nancy J. Roberts has taught Art History, Art Marketing and studio courses to adults and youth at St. Lawrence College since 1998. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Art History and Studio, and attended the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. She continued studies in Ottawa and Toronto in the field of Art Conservation and Restoration.

Nancy's mediums of choice are watercolour and mixed media, and her subject matter is rural and wilderness landscape in its many forms. She also works from life models in conté and pastel. Her work is in collections in Canada and the United States.

Nancy has designed an innovative artist's tool, The Artists' Viewfinder©, which assists artists in scoping out and framing their subject matter.

In her professional career as a marketing consultant, Nancy has experienced much success with national clients and regional contracts. She developed, designed and published The Golfer's Course Guide, a national Canadian golf directory, selling 15,000 copies around the world and earning for her a finalist position for Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 1995.

Nancy currently is happily employed full time in the packaging business, and splits her time between her primary home in Toronto, and Eastern Ontario, where she teaches, paints, and enjoys off-grid stays at her rustic cabin.

Nancy is Past President of the South Grenville Guild of Fine Art, holds the Publicity Chair position therein, and exhibits regularly with group and solo exhibitions. Nancy may be reached at 647-351-3848 or nancyrobertslive@hotmail.ca
