Rosaleen was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. She and her family moved to Brockville in 1969. Now retired, she and her husband, Bill, reside in Riverview Heights, Prescott. Rosaleen always had a desire to try her hand at art, but she did not pursue her dream until after she retired from her career as an elementary school teacher. In 1996, she enrolled in her first art class at St. Lawrence College in Brockville. A whole new world opened up to her. Her dream became reality. Watercolour is Rosaleen's choice of medium. Many of her paintings depict areas of eastern Ontario and the Maritimes. Her favourite subjects are farmyard scenes, rural landscapes and scenes created from old faded photographs filled in with memories. Rosaleen is a member of the South Grenville Guild of Fine Art. She exhibits her work, along with the Guild, at the annual spring show. As well, her work has been displayed in Prescott, Cornwall, Merrickville and various venues in Brockville. She can be reached by telephone at (613) 925-0348. . |
