A creative person by nature, Winhara Burrow’s life has been consumed by the arts, whether acting, dancing, or creating on canvas. A true magpie at heart, Winhara is fascinated by colour and texture, a love that is visible in both her career as a floral designer and her work as an artist.

Winhara’s collages are often inspired by a poem, and the idea of interpreting the poet’s words through collage intrigues her. The challenge of finding just the right images and components and bringing the material together, layer after layer, to tell the story excites her. Through her ability to see the beauty in every day objects she is able to combine things that mean nothing on their own into a work of art that inspires.

Winhara was born in North Bay, Ontario. While the north remains in her heart, she has grown to love the natural beauty of the St. Lawrence River, the area she now calls home. Winhara lives just outside Brockville with her husband and is heavily involved in the local arts community.
